and with only about a dozen new sightings to add to our lists. At that point we decided we would keep our friend Jan wondering and vowed that, until our “big year” was over, our lips were sealed! 
	But going to Riverlands and  keeping Jan guessing didn’t make a bit of difference. When all was said and done, Jan still came out on top by about 20 birds. Our only consolation was, “If it hadn’t been for all that wind and rain…”

  ... to all who came out to vote in favor of Amendment 1, the renewal of the Parks and Soils Tax.  The initiative was approved statewide by an overwhelming 71% of voters, up from 67% in 1996. The strong support   indicates that voters believe the small tax does indeed live up to its campaign slogan: "Good For Missouri".

Text Box: Hours of work have resulted in the creation of a butterfly garden along West Edgewood Drive with bench, signage and plantings beside the Greenway Trail and on the hillside.  Funding came from the Dorothy Bushman memorial.
