Text Box: Thursday, November 9  -  Program on photography, silent auction and dinner planned by River Bluffs Audubon Society.  At 6 PM we will gather at Yen Ching Restaurant for dinner and auction,  and then hear Jim Rathert speak about  “A New Direction in Nature Photography: Missouri and
Beyond” at 7 PM.  (See story on page one for more information.)

Saturday, November 11th - Field Trip to Bradford Farm and Little Dixie Lake, near Millersburg. Waterfowl, sparrows, etc. Meet at 8:30 AM at the State Information Center parking lot (600 W. Main). The trip will involve about 45 minutes' travel, with an hour or two at each site and some walking. Friday, November 17th - Josh Duzan, from The Nature Conservancy in Arkansas, will update efforts to locate the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker. Program will be at 7:30 PM preceded by 6:30 PM dinner at Angelo’s Pizza and Steakhouse, 4107 S. Providence Rd, Columbia. The presentation is being co-sponsored by  the Columbia Audubon and River Bluffs Audubon societies, the Show Me Science Alliance of Columbia, and Audubon Missouri.

Saturday, December 2 - work day at the Callison Nature Trail at Binder Park. River Bluff Audubon Society members plan some tread work, installation and repair of  few directional signs and trimming back brush from the trail. With eight or 10 volunteers, work should be finished by noon. If you'd like to help with this annual trail maintenance day, please call Roger Randolph, 635-6018, so we'll know how many volunteers to expect. We'll meet at 8 AM at the picnic pavilion at Binder Park near the Callison trailhead.

Thursday, December 14  - 7 PM hear Glenn Chamber tell "What Is the Wetland Ecology Center of Excellence?" at Runge Conservation Nature Center. River Bluffs Audubon Society business meeting will follow. (See story on page one for more information.)	

Saturday, December 16 - Christmas Bird Count. Meet at HyVee at 6:00 AM with departure at 6:30 AM. Dinner and tallying that evening will be at Jim D. Wilson’s home.
