Programs were done with an emphasis on seasonal bird information. In the fall the content was centered around bird habitat, natural bird foods, bird feeding and making a bird feeder. In the spring/early summer the program material included habitat awareness, bird foods, nesting requirements and nest building.

The Kids-R-Curious program was first conducted in November 2001. At first, the target age group was preschool through age ten, then, in 2002 a program was developed for kids age eleven through fourteen.
