The River Bluffs Audubon have been involved with several types of trash pick-up efforts throughout the Jefferson City area. For several years the Audubon Society have been involved with Stream Team and Adopt-a-Highway programs. Past efforts include, trash pick-ups from the Maries River located in Osage County and trash pick-ups along 0.5 miles on Hwy 50 near Lowes.

The River Bluffs Audubon Society currently conducts periodic trash pick-ups from Wears Creek and along the shoreline of Binder Lake.
